Automation Developer With ServiceNow Expertise We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Developer with ServiceNow expertise along with scripting to design, build and support end-to-end IT process automation using ServiceNow enterprise platform. This role will focus on workflow driven automation that enable self-service, reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency across IT and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Automation initiatives, ServiceNow development, GitHub, Python and PowerShell scripting, integrations, and SQL Server development. This role will work closely with ServiceNow Engineering, infrastructure, application development, cloud, security and enterprise architecture to deliver scalable and secure automation solutions.
Required Skillset/Experience: 5 - 8 years of strong hands-on technical experience with ServiceNow development, automation, integration and scripting with devops expertise. 4 years of experience with ServiceNow development with a focus on integrations including AWS, Azure and Client. Understanding of ServiceNow data model, tables and relationships. Extensive experience with ServiceNow integration solutions including: ServiceNow API's, SSO, SAML, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC and REST APIs. Experience developing ServiceNow APIs, ServiceNow Workflows, Flow Designer, UI Pages, UI Macros, Business Scripts, Client Scripts, UI Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies, Script Includes, Security Rules Advance scripting experience with JavaScript, PowerShell, Python. Experience with ServiceNow Integration Hub for rapid integration development and automation. Strong knowledge of ServiceNow catalog and workflow development. Experience implementing REST API integration with third party tools and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. Experience with GitHub and version control practices. Experience with backend SQL Server development is preferred. Good functional and technical understanding of ServiceNow CMDB. Knowledge and experience with ServiceNow CSDM framework is preferred. Ability to create custom reports, dashboards and visualizations. Familiarity with ServiceNow Performance Analytics. Strong problem-solving skills, communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow automation solutions using Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and custom scripts Build and enhance ServiceNow applications using JavaScript (server‐side and client‐side scripting, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Catalog Client Scripts) Create, optimize, and maintain workflow‐driven automations across Incident, Change, Request, Problem, and Release Management Analyze existing processes and integrations to identify automation, optimization, and consolidation opportunities Optimize automation solutions for performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability DevOps, CI/CD & Platform Integration Integrate ServiceNow with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) Support automated change, release, and deployment workflows driven by CI/CD Maintain version control and deployment practices related to ServiceNow development and automation scripts Enable DevOps‐aligned governance through automated approvals, validations, and standard changes Develop and maintain PowerShell and Python scripts to automate infrastructure, system administration, and operational tasks Integrate ServiceNow with cloud and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation preferred) Support auto‐remediation and self‐healing use cases Design and manage ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Scripted APIs, MID Servers, and data sources Design and execute automated data flows between ServiceNow and SQL Server databases: Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures Implement secure data synchronization and transformation Ensure high availability, resiliency, and monitoring of integration workflows Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve automation, integration, scripting, and performance issues Support day‐to‐day operational activities, incident resolution, and continuous capability improvement Participate in on‐call support rotations as needed Integrate ServiceNow with monitoring and observability platforms to enable automated incident creation and resolution Collaborate with cross‐functional teams (DevOps, Cloud, Security App, Infra) to gather requirements and deliver end‐to‐end automation solutions Ensure automation solutions comply with security, governance, risk, and compliance standards Develop and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, and operational runbooks Drive automation maturity and best practices across the organization Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience
