Job Title: ServiceNow SAM Pro Consultant

Location: Mclean, VA

Duration: 12 Months

Primary Skills: Implementation & Configuration, Integration, Governance & Compliance, ITAM, ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB modules

Responsibilities:

• Develop and configure SAM Pro publisher packs (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, SAP, etc.)
• Customize license models, metrics, and reconciliation rules
• Configure workflows for reclamation, normalization, and compliance reporting
• Build integrations with SCCM, ILMT, Flexera, and other discovery tools
• Develop REST API and web service connectors for external systems
• Maintain CMDB accuracy and ensure proper linkage with SAM Pro
• Troubleshoot SAM Pro jobs, reconciliation issues, and license calculations
• Perform health checks and optimize SAM Pro performance
• Ensure audit readiness and compliance with vendor licensing terms
• Provide reporting dashboards for license usage, compliance, and optimization
• Work closely with ITAM, HAM, procurement, and compliance teams
• Provide technical guidance and training to stakeholders

Requirements:

Experience:

• 10+ years of ServiceNow platform development
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAM Pro implementations

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITAM, ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB modules
• Expertise in scripting (JavaScript, Glide), APIs, and integrations
• Familiarity with web technologies (XML, HTML, REST, SOAP)

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and client-facing ability
• Analytical mindset for license optimization and compliance
