ServiceNow Developer

Overview We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in service-oriented architecture and solution architecture, with hands-on experience in developing and implementing ServiceNow applications. This role requires a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud security, and systems engineering, along with proficiency in various programming languages and technologies. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow applications and modules to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop integration solutions using RESTful APIs, SOAP, and ETL processes.
• Ensure system performance through load balancing, system hardening, and continuous integration practices.
• Conduct debugging and troubleshooting of applications to resolve issues efficiently.
• Implement security measures including firewall configurations, VPN setups, and threat intelligence protocols.
• Participate in Agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning and reviews.
• Maintain documentation for system architecture, design specifications, and operational procedures.
• Provide support for system administration tasks across various operating systems including Windows and Linux.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Must have 10+ years of experience
• Proven experience in ServiceNow development with a focus on IT service management.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, C#, Java, SQL, and Ruby on Rails.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and virtualization technologies like VMware or ESXi.
• Experience with databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle.
• Understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Git.
• Knowledge of computer networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, GPOs, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and system design principles.
• Experience in scripting languages (Bash/Unix shell) for automation tasks is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess vulnerabilities through vulnerability management techniques.
