On behalf of DWP we are looking for a ServiceNow Business Analyst for a 5 month (Inside IR35) contract. Hybrid working with 3 days per week required in either Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Newcastle or Blackpool.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. Working with DWP, you will be helping us to drive our priorities to:

  • Help people to move into work and support those already in work to progress, with the aim of increasing overall workforce participation
  • Help people to plan and save for later life, while providing a safety net for those who need it now
  • Provide effective, efficient, and innovative services to the millions of claimants who rely on us every day, including the most vulnerable in society
  • Improve experience of our services while maximising value for money for the taxpayer.

In this role, the Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analysing business requirements to define both the problem and solution scope. Facilitating communication between stakeholders and create and manage necessary documentation. Main tasks will also include refining user requirements, recommending process improvements, and supporting solution implementation and testing.

As a ServiceNow Business Analyst your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Identify and analyse Service Now system capabilities.
  • Develop models and system requirements for Service Now modules and platform.
  • Understand the impact of potential changes and how business processes, systems, data, roles and responsibilities interact.
  • Identify, analyse, challenge and validate business and user requirements.
  • Use appropriate requirements management life cycle methods to complete tasks and outputs related to the project
  • Analyse and evaluate business processes to identify problems and opportunities.
  • Present findings in an accessible and easy to understand way to support informed decision making.
  • Identify important stakeholders and communicate with them clearly and regularly.
  • Tailor communication to stakeholders' needs and work with them to build relationships while meeting user needs.

Essential:

  • Demonstratable experience of operating in a Business Analyst position.
  • ServiceNow knowledge and experience.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience of working in Agile environments.

Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
