Associate Security Risk Analyst Intern

Join ServiceNow Security Organization to monitor and enhance security tools, respond to incidents, and support cloud data protection for a global SaaS leader.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Monitor security tools and systems defending ServiceNow's production and corporate environments
• Analyze relationships between seemingly unrelated events using deductive reasoning
• Develop methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Collaborate with teams to maintain secure configuration baselines for all devices, including security tools, workstations, servers, and network devices
• Participate as an escalation contact in the On-Call rotation to respond to priority Security Operations incidents
• Assist with deployment, integration, and initial configuration of new or enhanced security solutions, including network and systems security improvements

About You

The company is looking for:

• Experience leveraging or critically thinking about AI integration in work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving
• Automation knowledge with Python and bash scripting
• Experience hardening Linux, Windows, or Mac systems
• Background working with data logging applications such as Splunk
• Knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools like Qualys and Nessus
• A defensive security mindset
• Ability to explain complex issues to executives and customers
• GSEC, GCIH, CEH, GCIA, or CISSP certifications are a plus

• Base pay of $36.78/hr (guideline; varies by qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location)
