Job Description:

Omega CRM Consulting is seeking a CMDB Discovery Specialist to collaborate with a top global pharmaceutical company. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring and optimizing the discovery of IT assets across the enterprise, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery and a strong understanding of CMDB data modelling, data governance, and data lifecycle management principles.

The role involves configuring, managing, and optimizing ServiceNow Discovery to identify and map infrastructure components and services, performing data cleanup and normalization activities, and developing data quality standards, policies, and procedures for the CMDB.

The successful candidate will also collaborate with infrastructure, network, application teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate discovery coverage and updates in the CMDB.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, manage, and optimize ServiceNow Discovery to identify and map infrastructure components and services.
  • Perform data cleanup and normalization activities to maintain CMDB integrity and process duplicates or stale records.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain data quality standards, policies, and procedures for the CMDB.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, application teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate discovery coverage and updates in the CMDB.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of CMDB data modelling, data governance, and data lifecycle management principles.
  • Experience with discovery tools preferably with ServiceNow (e.g., BMC Discovery, Tanium, SCCM, Qualys).
  • Experience in data quality management within a CMDB context.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, and service management tools, preferably with ServiceNow.
  • Positive attitude, excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
