ServiceNow Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our ServiceNow team. As a modern technology company, Slalom is disrupting the market and bringing to life the art of the possible for our clients. This role will act as a Developer for ServiceNow engagements by proposing, architecting, and leading ServiceNow solution delivery based on the requirements provided by the Slalom team and the Client. The solutions should be holistic in nature and include repeatable designs for productivity. In addition to domain expertise, the ideal candidate should be comfortable interacting outside of the IT department with the business, possessing a high degree of business proficiency, professional maturity, and poise.

Main Responsibilities

• Support projects to implement IT focused ServiceNow solutions in client environments, aligning with ServiceNow Implementation and Technical Best Practices.
• Participate in process mapping, functional design, and analysis workshops, providing guidance and technical expertise.
• Work with business process owners/SMEs to develop technical solutions, validating customer requirements and considering 'needs' vs. 'wants.'
• Lead the delivery of ServiceNow solutions through estimation of effort, creation of user stories, and consideration of ServiceNow and process design best practices and standards.
• Support testing of implemented solutions, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Travel Expectations

Up to 30% regional travel may be required.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate has 5+ years of broad ServiceNow experience across the platform, including Platform upgrades, patches, Custom Applications, Mobile Platform, Virtual Agent, and more.
• They must be able to configure ServiceNow discovery and Service Mapping, set up and maintain discovery schedules, and troubleshoot issues.
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, Angular, PowerShell, MySQL, CSS, Web Services (REST/SOAP, XML, and HTML), network infrastructure, and IAM constructs such as LDAP, VPN, SSL, SAML/SSO are required.
• Demonstrated work history with Agile development methodology is essential.

Education/Certifications

• A BA/BS Degree in IT, Computer Science, IS, or business-related field or equivalent professional experience is required.
• Certified System Administrator Certification (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS - ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, ITAM, GRC) are preferred.
