ServiceNow Technical Project Manager

Innova Solutions is seeking a ServiceNow PM to be responsible for the coordination of the work that comes from the North American enterprise. It is a very busy position with a lot of work that needs to be tracked and followed up on, as well as conducting meetings with SMEs to gather requirements, working with the team to prioritize the work, working with vendors, etc.

The ServiceNow Technical Project Manager is responsible for guiding the work through sprints and for the stewardship of the ServiceNow platform across the enterprise. A successful candidate typically helps oversee the cohesion of multiple technology/service modules and should be the guiding light for the ServiceNow platform. This person is the stabilizing and negotiating hand that ensures the teams are operating with synergy and maintaining an ongoing dialogue with key stakeholders. Responsibilities:

  • Understand, support portfolio work, facilitate training, and drive adoption in ServiceNow product stack and capability map.
  • Manage the flow of work through with Business Systems Manager to ensure there are enough features ready in the backlog at all times.
  • Define easy-to-understand big picture product-based roadmap progress reporting for executive leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Lead the steering team and data stewardship committees. The Technical Program Manager will be key to ensuring ServiceNow Scrum teams provide efficient and effective development of the platform.
  • This team also contributes materially to the job satisfaction that comes with being part of a high-performing team, one that routinely delivers on its quality and vision commitments.
  • Maintain and communicate product roadmap and vision to the team and manage expectations throughout the ServiceNow platform development lifecycle, module rationalization, and maintaining appropriate business engagement in requirements gathering, writing user stories, and helping to deliver to business strategy.
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation and operationalization of the ServiceNow platform; ensure the solution is compliant with best practices, enterprise standards, business processes, business, and functional requirements.
  • Determine efficient and optimal technical solutions for stakeholders, the ServiceNow platform, and its strategy, and other SaaS and on-prem integrations.
  • Partner closely with Enterprise Architect, ServiceNow Platform Architect(s) to identify and document technical requirements and emerging solutions.
  • Understand the product design and deployment to provide necessary guidance and support on the configuration and setup of ServiceNow solutions, environment, and other non-functional areas as it delivers on the business service.
  • Conduct Sprint planning, daily standups, releases, retrospective.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for all ServiceNow issues and problems.
  • Understand business requirements and define scope.
  • Prepare project plans along with estimations resource planning Identify project risks and plan for their mitigation, contingencies, and production readiness.
  • Full-time engagement on a daily basis with Scrum teams ideally dedicated. Help Scrum teams estimate, increase velocity, and report progress key performance indicators Manage bugs, emergency of the day, and other ad-hoc requests.
  • Coach and motivate Scrum team members. Act as the glue that holds the team together.
  • Promote continuous communication.
  • Monitor and help improve team dynamics. Lend support to whatever part of the project needs assistance at a certain time.
  • Coordinate with other IT team members to schedule resources across Engineering, Security, Service Desk organizations. Collaborate with Engineering, Security, and Service Desk teams to effectively translate business requirements into functional requirements that team members can understand and take concrete action.
  • Manage the process for handling changing business requirements through the course of multiple active IT projects.
  • Ensure the quality of formal test plans for technology solutions based on business requirements. Manage relationships with and provide direction to 3rd-party consultants engaged to help implement and configure technology solutions, customize vendor software, etc.
  • Lead the design, build, test, and delivery of cloud platform solutions using industry-leading vendor technologies. Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required; graduate/advanced degree and/or PMP certification highly preferred.
  • 5 years of experience working with clients in a consultative manner to solve business problems using technology and data-driven techniques.
  • 5 years of experience in ServiceNow platform development in an enterprise environment.
  • 3 years of experience in Agile Methodology (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
  • Expertise in ServiceNow Service Catalog Workflows, Portal Implementations, and CMDB expertise.
  • Experience with ITSM and ITIL concepts and framework, providing expertise to guide ITSM and ITIL implementations ServiceNow PPM, Agile, and executive leadership and business stakeholder reporting experience.
  • Experience with ServiceNow portal strategy and implementation.
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform administration and license lifecycle management.
  • Proven ability to delight clients through excellent customer service.
  • Proven ability to apply critical thinking with natural curiosity to distill detailed functional requirements for technology solutions based on input from business systems managers and business users.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to translate technical or abstract concepts into a narrative that is intuitive to clients.
  • Proven ability to present complex data in a visual format that is intuitive to clients.
  • Proven ability to lead small teams to deliver results in a timely and effective manner.
  • Proven ability to manage projects in a self-directed manner.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
